Pack and send your tapes
You receive sending instructions by email. Pack the tapes securely and use the drop-off point specified in the instructions.
We digitize your tapes
Each tape is saved as a separate video. You can follow each tape’s progress in your account.
Watch and download your videos
Watch the finished videos in your browser or download the MP4 files at no extra charge. Save your own copies too.
What happens to the original tapes?
We return your tapes if you choose a return. Otherwise, we keep them for 30 days after your videos are ready. You can still order a return from your account during that time. After that, the tapes are recycled. Returns are free from 10 tapes.

Frequently asked questions
Picture and audio restoration if you need it
Basic digitization captures your tape as it is, without adding anything. If the picture is grainy or the audio hisses, you can buy restoration later from your account. First, you see a preview of your own video.

- We reduce tape hiss and electrical hum, and even out the volume.

- Your chosen scenes are upscaled to HD. AI can change facial details, so you see a preview before buying.
The sample uses freely available home movies from the Manitoba Home Movie Archive (archive.org). Tape defects were added digitally, and the restored version was made from that damaged copy. The sample audio is synthetic. Results on a real tape depend on its condition.
